I'm off to Ireland from late June until late July, so you'll all have to carry on without me for a month. I'm sure you'll manage! Last gig before I go is at PJ O'briens on Monday 21st June. First gigs back on Sunday 25th July. All enquiries about bookings can still be directed through this site.
I have taken on a regular Friday after work residency at the Corkman in Carlton. This brings my weekly residencies to six....more than enough thank you!
I"m also in rehersal for a stage production called Along The Wallaby Track. This involves a couple of actors performing recitations by well known Australian writers such as Henry Lawson, together with reenactments of pivotal moments in Australian history such as the Ned Kelly trial. I'm doing the incidental music and singing a few songs along with Felix Meagher and Cyril Moran. The show will be performed at Arts Centres and Theatres around Victoria. First performance on 24th February at Nunawading. All the shows are at lunchtime, so my regular gigs are unaffected.
If anybody out there is a fan of The Corrs, this web site might amuse you. Jim Corr has become one of the world's biggest conspiracy theorists and has set up a site to warn us all about the dangers we face. Pour yourself a strong cup of tea and log on to jimcorr.com
Check out the new promo clip for The Quiet Man.
The great Lucinda Williams dropped into PJ O'Briens recently on the eve of two sold out shows in the arts centre. I was invited to the show and went along to my front row seat on Thursday night.A magic show from a real legend.
I am setting up a page for youtube clips. Feel free to submit any clips from my gigs. Have a look.
The Live at The Quiet Man CD is now available for sale at the venue and at my gigs. It will be available for sale in the coming weeks through this site and through the usual digital sources.
Irish music legends The Fureys and Davey Arthur have just released a CD/DVD called 30 Years On Live at Vicar Street which features my song Geraldine's Thinking of Galway along with their many great hits over the years. They are shortly embarking on a world tour to promote the album and to celebrate 30 years in the business.
